What is an Insertion Order ?

An Insertion Order is effectively the last step in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process between the buyer (typically a brand advertiser or their advertising agency). An Insertion Order can best be considered a Purchase Order between the parties. An Insertion Order is usually issued by the Publisher but frequently issues by the Advertiser.

An Insertion Order contains all the details such as Campaign Flight Dates, Creative Sizes, Website, Targeting, Audiences, Frequency Capping and any related commercial terms.
