What is GRP ?

GRP stands for Gross Rating Point and is a measure of the size of an advertising campaign in relation to the size of the targeted audience or population. GRPs quantify impressions as a percentage of the target population, and can often exceed 100%.

GRPs are used predominantly as a measure of TV media with high potential exposures or impressions and are used to compare the success of elements in a media plan.
