Coronavirus Advertising across Health Ads

We’ve seen a large increase in the number of Coronavirus Advertising / Public Health Advertising over the last 7 days across Healthy Ads’ publisher inventory.

For the large part they seem to be run by World Health Organization as well as Federal Governments, State Governments or the Health Services / Health Departments of regional areas. They are mostly being run programmatically from major DSPs. We had setup Coronavirus Targeting about 10 days ago and we know a few that are using it.

From some analysis we’ve seen that it’s a 50/50 split between Desktop and Mobile and mobile inventory. The most popular size is 300×250 which runs across both Desktop, Tablet and Mobile devices.

Three governments that have been consistent over the last week has been the Australian Federal Government, New Zealand Government and the NHS (National Health Service) from the UK Government. They have flooded our reports with a variety of advertising creatives.

The underlying messaging for most of them is “Stay At Home” or simply “Wash your Hands”. We’ve seen landing pages of Coronavirus Advertising go to either Coronavirus Resource Hubs and or for Public Health Departments or Actual Hospitals, procedures for ways for getting tested for Coronavirus.
